Her story:

Jacqueline Pierik holds a BFA from the College of Creative Studies, where she studied graphic design and illustration. In her career she’s worked at a variety of agencies and publishing houses, designing ads, banners and logos for clients such as Koepplinger’s,Mickey Shorr, JM Studio, Louise Graphics and Detroit’s Central Business District Association.

She now works for Signature Media, where she produces magazines including the one you are holding. As Strut’s lead designer, Jacqueline is the magazine’s unsung hero, toiling over every page. It’s her talent and hard work that make the freshness and fun look effortless.

Her story: Those hairstyles might have changed throughout the more than 30 years that she has been WDIV’s most recognized on-air personality, but Carmen Harlan’s smile and professionalism have remained constant. The Detroit native and University of Michigan alumna started her career by running the news department of a Detroit radio station before joining WDIV as a reporter. Now a senior anchor, she has worked on some of WDIV’s most noteworthy projects, including “Focus On Families,” which helped to place foster children in permanent homes.
