Women's Choice Awards 2008

We asked you for your favorites in more than 100 categories. Our goal: Identify and applaud some of the best shops, services and local personalities geared for women in metro Detroit.

You didn’t just tell us what you liked. You told us why.

You sent us stories of wonderful, personal service. Quality food. Places and things that wowed you. You told us with exclamation points about shopping locally. You described the emotional attachment to small businesses and clerks, and how they are very much part of the landscape of your life.

We combined your impassioned votes and nominations with the local insider help of our Strut staff – people who are out and about each day looking for the best metro Detroit has to offer.
