Capture spring images in Heritage Park, and learn how to use the
seven points of focus/framing, control depth of field, look at light,
and study how it moves and changes color. Reflectors will be used

Socialize, exercise and gain experience while lending a hand at the parks, especially at the nature centers and golf courses. Volunteers who reach a designated number of hours receive a Metroparks annual permit, free use of some facilities and an invitation to recognition dinners in the parks. This exhibition presents the social history of the Barbie doll, as well as trivia about her. Dearborn collector Helen Mamalakis shares her Barbie collection. The exhibit includes one of the earliest dolls from 1961, to illustrate the evolution of one of America’s most popular toys.

Shoppers and collectors may get the first look at the Bookstock Used Book & Media Sale Pre-Sale at 8:45-11:45 a.m. on April 6. Books will be sold for half-price on April 13. Bookstock carries donated used books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, magazines and records, and all proceeds will benefit literacy and education projects in metro Detroit.

Author Cheryl Robinson, a Cass Technical High School and Wayne State University alumna, will sign copies of her latest work, Sweet Georgia Brown, the story of a housewife whose goal is to become a household name.

Ten- and 20-mile training runs begin and end at the store, and traverse Ann Arbor and the surrounding area. Miles are accurately marked, and aid stations are provided for “refueling.”
Runners of all abilities are invited to join a group that runs for an hour
starting at the store at 6 p.m. every Tuesday.

The bakery will be closed to the public for this event. You and your friends will learn
how to create cupcake decorations, such as flowers, borders and other
ornamental details. By the end of the evening, you will have four decorated
cupcakes to take home.
