Where: Stables Studio, Heritage Park, Farmington Hills
Capture spring images in Heritage Park, and learn how to use the
seven points of focus/framing, control depth of field, look at light,
and study how it moves and changes color. Reflectors will be used
to enhance natural light. Be sure to dress for the outdoors,
and bring a 35mm or digital camera.
Cost: Residents, $85; non-residents, $90

Women’s Minyan
Start: 2:30 pm

8:30 p.m. Saturdays; 2 p.m. Sundays
An Orthodox mother of 12 flees her abusive
husband and is barred from seeing her children.
She forms a women’s minyan to sit in judgment
of her right to see her children.

Huron-Clinton Metroparks
Start: 10:00 am
End: 10:59 am

Where: the 13 Metroparks in southeast Michigan

Socialize, exercise and gain experience while lending a hand at the parks, especially at the nature centers and golf courses. Volunteers who reach a designated number of hours receive a Metroparks annual permit, free use of some facilities and an invitation to recognition dinners in the parks. Volunteer for a single project or on an ongoing bais.

Art Van Spring Design Classes
Start: 6:30 pm

Where: 425 E. Eisenhower Pkwy., Ann Arbor

Art Van will host design classes to help participants make the most of their design projects. Participants may register for the four-part series or stop by the class of their interest. Topics include: Determining Your Style (Week 1);  The Impact of Color (Week 2);  Furniture Placement (Week 3); and Accessorizing (Week 4).
