Dearborn collector Helen Mamalakis shares her Barbie collection. The exhibit includes one of the earliest dolls from 1961, to illustrate the evolution of one of America’s most popular toys. Moms will learn strategies for creating a supportive environment and self-esteem for their daughters. Residents of all communities are welcome to attend. Where: A Woman's Image, 43273 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township A Woman's Image, an organization that assists men, women and children suffering hair loss because of chemotherapy, alopecia or for other reasons, is hosting an art show fundraiser to benefit Gilda's Club Metro Detroit. Gilda's Club is a free cancer support center for men, women and children dealing with cancer. The fundraiser will feature works by local artists, such as Detroit acrylic and water colorist, April "Pril" Barkley, as well as nationally known graphic designer Frank Beven, among others.
