Where: The 13 Metroparks in southeast Michigan

Socialize, exercise and gain experience while lending a hand at the parks, especially at the nature centers and golf courses. Volunteers who reach a designated number of hours receive a Metroparks annual permit, free use of some facilities, and an invitation to recognition dinners in the parks. Volunteer for a single project or on an ongoing basis.

Playwright and novelist A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, will be the first in a series of plays at the St. Clair Shores Country Club’s new dinner theater. Love Letters follows the relationship between two friends that spanned 50 years, through their letters. The menu will consist of a three-course meal, with four entrées available.
