Crafty chairs to be auctioned off will be on display at this Grosse Ile Alliance for the Arts fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds also will go toward supporting local artists. Be sure to check out the creation by local artist Erin Suess, who will craft a chair for Strut magazine. The chairs will be on display Friday-Sunday, and hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served at Friday’s live auction. A silent auction also will take place.

Considering Detroit, MOCAD’s latest exhibition, will explore contemporary art in the Detroit area. The exhibition, the first in a series, aims to document the recent history of the region’s art, according to MOCAD.
